Although procured with a challenging local authority school budget, the requirement for an acoustically resonant and functional performance space (traditionally a black box space) was fulfilled and denotes a point of interest amidst the cluster of conventional school buildings.

Materials are very unassuming with the creation of an interesting, flexible studio space with its sprung wood floor and lighting mezzanine being the priorities of the design. The form of the building externally alluding to the dynamic activities within.
